5go...again, he's an engineer...not a government employee/politician or anything like that. I looked at his company's website, and it doesn't appear that they investigated the World Trade Center, but their current listing of projects may not go back that far. I'll ask.
I will talk to him about the collapse of the building... and I'm sure he can give an expert opinion. His company's bio is below... I deleted the name because I haven't seen him yet to ask if he is comfortable in my posting it. I highlighted the categories I think apply here.

ok...while I posted that, I missed a couple of posts.
VM44 I don't think he'd be qualified to answer that one either. Just structural issues.
HS... I don't think I've ever seen you post a smiley before! I can't say I've read all your posts though... That just tickled my funny bone.

LONDON, England (CNN) --European and U.S. regulators are on the hunt for anyone who might have manipulated financial markets ahead of the terror attack in the hope of profiting from it.
Central banks and supervisory bodies in New York and across Europe are conducting investigations into what one European central banker says are ever-clearer signs of market manipulation. Germany's central bank governor, Ernst Welteke, says there were signs of suspicious movements in oil and gold prices before the attack. Investigators in Europe are also looking at trading in insurance and airline stocks. There are strong suspicions that British markets may have been used for transactions, says Belgian Finance Minister Didier Reynders. Sources in London say no evidence has turned up yet, although an investigation at all exchanges is being conducted.
CIA Executive Director “Buzzy” Krongard managed firm that handled “PUT” options on United Airline Stock
by Michael C. RuppertFTW - October 9, 2001 – Although uniformly ignored by the mainstream U.S. media, there is abundant and clear evidence that a number of transactions in financial markets indicated specific (criminal) foreknowledge of the September 11 attacks on the World Trade Center and the Pentagon. In the case of at least one of these trades -- which has left a $2.5 million prize unclaimed -- the firm used to place the “put options” on United Airlines stock was, until 1998, managed by the man who is now in the number three Executive Director position at the Central Intelligence Agency.
Until 1997 A.B. “Buzzy” Krongard had been Chairman of the investment bank A.B. Brown. A.B. Brown was acquired by Banker’s Trust in 1997. Krongard then became, as part of the merger, Vice Chairman of Banker’s Trust-AB Brown, one of 20 major U.S. banks named by Senator Carl Levin this year as being connected to money laundering. Krongard’s last position at Banker’s Trust (BT) was to oversee “private client relations.” In this capacity he had direct hands-on relations with some of the wealthiest people in the world in a kind of specialized banking operation that has been identified by the U.S. Senate and other investigators as being closely connected to the laundering of drug money.
Krongard joined the CIA in 1998 as counsel to CIA Director George Tenet. He was promoted to CIA Executive Director by President Bush in March of this year. BT was acquired by Deutsche Bank in 1999. The combined firm is the single largest bank in Europe. And, as we shall see, Deutsche Bank played several key roles in events connected to the September 11 attacks. -

So are you saying it support the aided collaspe theory? Though I still believe something went on I have pretty much given up on trying to prove it.

Has anyone else downloaded the 80+ hours of NORAD tapes from 9/11? You can get them via torrent. No "stand down" orders afaik, but lots of disorganization and incredulity over what was happening...
Afaik there have been several videos released from around the Pentagon, most were sealed because of the Moussaoui trial. Since it ended, several have been released (CITGO, Doubletree, two security cam views). If you want to see more, file a FOIA ... that is how the others were released.
coffee_black....Here is a question your friend may be interested in....ask him if he agrees with the NIST recommendations for upgrading building codes as a result from what was learned on 9/11 (if he is familiar with them). There is some speculation that the NIST report on WTC7 due later this year will make an important recommendation on the basis of the contributing factors to the collapse of that building.

5go,
I'm not sure you're asking me this question. If you read back through the posts, you will find that I am attending a monthly CSI dinner tonight. (not crime scene investigation...construction specifications institute...I know that's confusing, but it's a completely different organization) At my table is usually an engineer who works for the above profiled firm. I can discuss the structural failure of the WTC with him. He will have a very educated opinion because that is what he does for a living...has for many years.
He's not involved with the response team or the aftermath....just the forensics of how/why the building fell.
After I've talked with him, I'll let you know what he says.

oh well egg on my face your with us then. I haven't expressed an opinion, so don't jump to conclusions. I posted an article that I think is very good.
Sorry coffee I didn't read it all the way I though it was calling theorist kooks. No it agrees with them. I don't think it calls them kooks, but I don't think it (the article) agrees with them either.

I'll be sure to ask. Our State building code is undergoing some pretty drastic changes. Mostly wind load and coastal issues. That is actually the topic of the presentation at the dinner tonight....
