    Agreed.

    Very good point.

And I'm tempted to add, a bit more controversially but for the same basic reasons: don't overfight the WTS.

It's rather humiliating to admit that we have been caught, mentally and emotionally, in a second-zone history fart, which deserves little more than a shrug or a laugh. But the sooner we can do that the better.

    Good point.

Perhaps at times we wish to think that the collective intelligence is greater than the sum of it's parts partly because they kept us in captivity for so long. It's awfully hard to admit that we were enslaved by a bunch of ignorant geezers.

    Getting there.

Most were either snared at an emotionally weak period of their life or born in. I think very few go looking for the true religion, research the witnesses then decide to join.

I've never heard a more apt description of healthy ex-jw outlook.

Thanks for the some perspective, Narkissos

Just a handful of nuns, priests, and nuclear physicists.

    LOL!

Well stated. I consider it noble to undermine the activities of cults that destroy lives, but it is imperitive that while so doing one does not destroy his own future. Mostly nowaday I find it far more satisfying to point other captives toward the door of intelligent thought that will lead them out. The cult itself is just a business. It will run a long business cycle, then at some point it will become irrelevent and fade into oblivion. Once it's products are seen as foolish, they will die on their own.

    Blessed are the overcomers.

Perhaps the new GB members (and their advisors?) are more intelligently conniving, than the GB members during Ray Franz' time?
