In one of the early publications they said that black people would turn white in the new system.

Rutherford said that Jehovah lived in the Plieades.

Thanks! I missed this the first time around.

I actually just read Uncle Toms Cabin for the first time ( in it's entirety) about a month ago.

I just kind of got over being upset about it.(the book) This article makes me livid. I can just imagine all those smug white men at the top reading this drivel; agreeing with it and passing on generations of bigotry and lies to their children.

I can't imagine how anyone who professes to be a Christian could have been read this kind of thing and think it came from god.

    Calm down, TT.

If only they had known what scientists have since discovered - white skin is actually an anomaly!

    LOL.

    Take that, Minimus!

If being white is an "anomaly"... well, let's just say that would explain a hell of a lot for this white guy

Yes, white people developed about 20,000 years after people started going into colder climates. Being lighter skinned is only useful from a biological standpoint if you live where there is less sunshine to keep from dying from a lack of Vitamin D, which requires UV rays to convert in the human body.

I'd like to thank my lily white ancestors for making me 50% more prone to skin cancer than darker skin types. Apparently, my European ancestors had no idea that I'd be living a good part of my childhood on the equator, in the Philippines. I've had to have a boatload of precancerous lesions frozen off my skin now that I'm older.

Being white isn't an anomoly, per se, it's an evolutionary response (genetic reaction) to sunlight. Your skin color is a result of a genetic variant that controls how much eumelanin that your skin produces. Eumelanin helps to protect your skin (your body's largest organ, BTW) from ultraviolet light from the sun. However, that genetic variant also influences something else.....your ability create vitamin D from the sunlight.

High eumelanin production blocks you from producing vitamin D from the sunlight. The tone and color of a peoples skin is almost, like, 99.999% related to how much direct sunlight the area you live in receives. The farther north or south you move away from the equater the lighter the skin becomes (historically speaking). That mutated response to allow peoples who get LESS direct sunlight to more efficiently use all of that available light to produce vitamin D. The phenotype, that is, the outward expression of that mutation, becomes more and more apparent as you move farther north or south away from the equator. People get whiter and whiter. Red hair is also an expression of that mutation.

So, how do our darker skinned peeps get vitamin D? They have ANOTHER genetic variant that allows them to synthesize vitamin D from cholesterol. A noteable exception to this are the Inuit (Eskimos). They get vitamin D from their diet, so they never needed to get lighter skin.

Just found out he's referring to a Broadway in Seattle, not New York City.

I always knew that I was a mutant.(I'm naturally ginger, born with it.) LOL

But, yes, only about 5% of the population has natural red hair and only about another 7% has naturally blond hair as adults. Lithuania and Scandinavia has the highest population of blonds, the Celtic races of redheads and they all come from sunlight deficient environments.

The rest is all the work of Miss Clairol.

Children tend to have lighter skin and hair than adults in the lighter skinned peoples to allow them to have more exposure to sunlight during the critical development period of life. That's why kids who are blond often get darker as adults, going into the dark blond to med brown shades.

I still find the 1994 awake with the kids that died because of refusing blood transfusions, the most insane and horrid thing ever posted by the WT.

I mean, talk about glorifying the deaths of chidlren.
