shut up mini......sorry did I say shut up?....I meant me too!!!!
Minimus,
Thankfully, as a group, we're pretty normal, don'tcha think???
Well, I used to think that perhaps eccentric was a more apt word than "normal", until someone once started a thread asking what medications other posters were taking. I was startled to note the large amount of posters who rely on medicine to keep their emotions in check. At that point I realised that eccentricity was not a medically accepted term and that doctors use another word. It also explained the impetus behind a lot of threads. From then on, I was just here to enjoy the ride and take very little if any of what happens on these Boards personally. HS
It has been my experience that most normal (sane) people are not reasonable (logical). The reasonable type is hard to find.
But to answer your question: I think most ExJWs are Reasonable !.. or at least not brainwashed.
I only got out officially a few weeks ago, though I've been mentally out longer than that. In fact, I'm not sure that I was ever mentally in, I just went along with things.
I'm hopefully on my way to being reasonable though, I'm sure my friends will tell me if and when I get there.
you'll never get reasonable jools....you're a woman....best women can hope for is they'll get the menopause to calm their hormones
I'll include your title and your remarks in your post in my answer. Yes, in answer to your question, I think most of us ex-JW's are reasonably normal . I think that most of us reason on things normally. Am I confusing things a little ? In other words, we have normal reasoning ability. That's what got most of us out of the JW religion, because we were normal , the religion was not . Those of us who are abbynormal have been watching " Young Frankenstein " way too much, myself included .
well said mate....peace out flippy the bush kangadolphin.....ninja
Somehow I knew we'd hear from Hillary_Step on this thread. For some reason I think of Frasier Crane when he posts. And that's okay with me, I just wonder where Niles is.
Hillary, it's sad to say that most everyone I personally know are or have been on meds. (Not me, yet).....The majority of Americans, if they aren't on meds, should be.
