I don't know a lot of ex-JWs personally, but the ones I do know are individuals, not clones, which is refreshing. They also tend toward live and let live, which is very reasonable. Normal I don't know about - I don't think anyone with the upbringing I had in the org. could be really normal - just like other people. But I'll take being a quirky ex-JW any day rather than being a JW clone.

miniMus I HAVE BEEN VERY REASONABLE with jw's for dozens of years. using scriptures and wt material . to prove them WRONG 1000'S OF TIMES>.... an I wrong? or is just you can't accept the fact i can shut most any jw down . be from callng the writing dept at bethel. or talking to your local assholes that control your cong. and your mom. worships . talking to jw's is easy. like taking candy from a 5 year old treat or treating on HOLLOWWEEN. your no different. 35 years ago while you were SELLING MAG'S FOR 15 CENTS. I WAS CALLING THE WTS BABYLON THE GREAT An WAS RIGHT 1975 CAME AND WENT AND I STILL SEE DOPES LIKE YOU THAT STAYED IN THE CRAPTOWER TILL THE EARLY 2000'S AND SOME OF THEM ASK ME? JOHN; HOW DID YOU SEE IT 30 YEAR AGO. I JUST TELL THEM SIMPLE COMMON SENSE. common sense will set you free. don't worry about x jw's that have had balls much larger than you. to get out a lot faster than you. look back and ask your self WHAT THE HELL TOOK YOU SO LONG...

John, my mother taught me that every time you point a finger, you have three pointing back at you.
So what if some of us stayed in the organization longer than you did? You're surely aware of how hard it is to simply get up and leave family and friends behind? Maybe some people stayed longer in there to try to see if they could help make the organization a more humane place. You cannot blame someone for trying that for a while, can you?
The main thing is that NOW - in 2007, we're on the same page, understanding the destructive nature of WT Society teachings. And we can work in various ways to help doubting JW's to get facts, and to help influence others who have been contacted by JW's to see what they'd be in for if they took the WTS bait.
We're on the same side now, right?
