    Hey Oompa,

For 5 bucks, you can download CAPTIVES OF A CONCEPT from lulu.com. It covers the
doctrine taught that Jesus examined the WTBTS in 1918-1919 and appointed them his
true faithful and discreet slave. You don't have to understand all kinds of complicated
stuff to follow it. It uses the PROCLAIMERS book extensively. You will find som gems
    there.

I started out collecting stuff in a folder to show to JW's. I never showed it to them. I decided
that they aren't going to receive the real truth even from their own documents. They would
just assume I am twisting it with logic. I enjoy what JWFACTS sent you from his website,
he has much there to help ya. But don't feel like you can get a bunch of old stuff together and
get a JW to see the light. It's a bunch of work. They won't look at it, 99.9 % of the time.

Thank you OTWO I intend to. After reading what has been posted and all the other spinoff threads, my head is spinning already. One of those spin offs had chronological WTS quotes about Jesus coming and inspections. I may be off, and will work through this BS for my dad and family, but right now it seems WT taught Jesus came in:

1874 but not really and nobody noticed anyway

1914 but nobody noticed...(and did he do some inspection then?)

1918 nobody knew it but he did some sort of inspection and IBS failed?

1919 nobody knew it but IBS passed his inspection and was appointed over something (and babylon fell here or 1918 and nobody noticed)

Now I wonder why, with an all knowing God and his son, was there even a need for an inspecton, don't they know all instantly???...oompa

    OOMPA...

Just read something and thought of you... and here you are on this thread !

The latest teaching on the subject struck me as being different.

When Christ inspected the "slave" in 1918, he found those anointed ones on earth to be faithful in providing spiritual "food at the proper time." Hence, Jesus, the Master, was pleased thereafter to appoint hem "over all his belongings." (Read Matthew 24:45-47.)

It is from the Jan 15th 2008 Watchtower...

I always thought that they had settled on 1919 !!!

What's an "honest-hearted one" to think ? So many changes... maybe it's a case of the writing department having continuity problems - or maybe they don't read the old cack before they write the new cack !
