yes dissident is quite good. Kind of gives you the feeling that that person is not going to sit idly by and watch injustice unfold
maverick is pretty cool sounding. Gives you the feeling that that person is going to enblazon some new trails, break apart from the pack, and make something of him or herself.
apostate really ain't that bad either. An apostate is not going to take any crap, and they are going to oppose and struggle against - until their last breath.
Another one I quite like is Freedom Fighter. That's what I have sanctimoniously dubbed (pardon the pun) myself as. A FREEDOM FIGHTER. I want to see my friends and family freed from the tryrannical grip of a man-made organization that seeks to control and judge, when it is woefully inadequately qualified to do so.
