AWAKE & WATCHING- Having been through divorce in my past, I can realistically say, I feel for you, my friend. Allow yourself time to heal your emotions, mind, heart and physical self because it does take a lot out of you as you know already . Each day will gradually get better for you and no longer being in " the cult " will help you to explore new paths and goals in your life that you were not allowed to pursue before. Enjoy your freedom, and welcome to the rest of your life ! You have Mrs. Flipper and my utmost support

A&W...I am glad you are able to get out of a situation you could no longer tolerate...too bad HE doesnt take off the blinders......

I hope now you are able to find peace and happiness...whether that is single or married only time will tell for you...you deserve happiness.....enjoy the freedom that you have from the cult...

and whatever freedoms divorce brings...I guess...I dont have experience with that...here I am looking and some of you are getting out of marriages...ironic...maybe I should rethink that

Freegirl... good for you...hope you too are happy....you deserve someone nice... ...and your post answers something I meant to ask about....but havent had time to send a PM on....

What you're doing takes great strength. I'm glad you find comfort here. We may be supporting you but you are still doing the hard work on the front lines of your life. Stay strong and always know we'll be here for you.

I've heard the same talk about the end being closer because of the changes. I was even guilty of the same type of thinking while I was in. It just shows the importance dubs place on the WTS and not on the Bible.

When you sell it, buy something very special for yourself.

    A&W,

I haven't gone through all your story but my first idea while reading your post is that, if you and your husband love each other, you must choose your husband first, don't let the WTS, or your own resentment toward your former JW life, separate you, all this religious quibbling is not worth a marriage. Splitting a couple on religious ground is playing into the hands of fanatism. There are many religiously divided homes, mates just manage with that, with a bit of good will on each side.

^-------- Good post, in general, but

her husband raised the pot, and she moved all-in. They will never have any peace. If he was amenable to that principle, it would not have gone this far. He demands a WTBTS-fearing wife. She doesn't want to be WTBTS member any longer.

A and W - Good for you for being so strong and taking control. I'm happy for you now you're free of the cult, but I'm sorry your marriage has been a casualty. The JW mindset is truly bizarre. Hopefully your soon to be ex husband will realise that and choose to escape himself.

    Take care and be happy,

    It will be alright, A & W. Here's a big ((((((())))))).

Now I'm going to have to find some root beer.
