I wish we could have freindships in real life. There are people here that I feel a real connection with but will probably never meet, let alone live close enough to have a regular freindship with.
While JWD does provide an outlet for me, it's not enough.

Changeling, one day, I am going to invite you to come stay with me for a couple of weeks. I know its not the same as having a group over and familiar surroundings, but maybe you can start to enjoy traveling? Mini-vacations?

Moving to a new area away from all close friend and trying to make new ones in such a close nit community is so hard.
There is nothing better than getting with other people and enjoying their company and swapping stories having a few drinks a meal or even just nibblies.

I saw "Into The Wild" the other day. It was very good, though the ending made me mad and I turned to my son and said: "Don't you ever do that!".
But the young man in the movie reaches this conclusion: "Happiness is not real if not shared". That really touched me.
