I really hate to be sitting around unable to do anything.
How about doing some jigsaws, crosswords, matchstick models or summat then!!
I've just had a fab idea though which might be possible, especially if you'll be unable to work for a while - thinking about Sirona, DB and Poppy the puppy - maybe you could volunteer to record for a talking newspaper. Minimum exertion and you'll be doing something for a valuable cause.

I didn't know there were such things. What would I talk about?
I'm not great with jigsaws and doing puzzles. I love writing and am back working part-time, but this depends on my energy levels.

You just read the script they give you! Usually newspapers record a weekly roundup of the main news events to send out to blind people, the also put it on the internet for those who are able to access. The big nationals can afford to pay people to do this but the smaller local papers can't so they rely on volunteer readers.
