Would Witnesses Kill If Ordered? Probably!

Were we ever remotely taught to kill? No.

We were taught that we would just be observers while Jesus and the angels would do it, so that idea is over the top.

I knew a MS who said the society should sent out "hit teams" to whack apostates. I don't think most JWs would kill if ordered, but there's always the occasional whacko who would do it.

I don't want to believe that Dubs could kill, but you made some important points.

I would like to add, what about those parents of children who needed blood but the parents refused transfusions to save their lives? some would say that this is murder.

What about parents who have thrown their own children out of the home, because that were disfellowshipped, when this kids had no means of support or anywhere to go? If the kid ended up dead, is not the parent at least partially responsible?

What about those of you who grew up as dubs, how many times were you told when you misbehaved that if you were back in the Israelite times you would be stoned to death for your conduct? Isn't that murder?

I'm not saying that all dubs could commit murder, but I am sure there is a sizable percentage that would under the right circumsatnces commit murder in the name of their religion.

jws lack the "courage" to do it. They would expect someone else to do it. By the time Jonestown occurred these people had been culled out and isolated. The WTS has not reached that stage yet.

I've long held this view, Blondie. Furthermore, I would like an example of how the German JWs sold each other out during WWII. I have never read an example of that happening.

Anyone who thinks JW's would kill if ordered are in my opinion idiots. They are sheep but not those kinds of sheep. I could assume the same thing about people on this board. Psycho people do psycho things. JW's despite what we think are not psychos. Remember when Jim Jones went down he had men with guns threating death and executing those that didn't drink. Most of those people did not want to drink

The odd fringe member may be able to be convinced to kill outright.

However, JW's may not feel compelled to PREVENT someone from being killed if so ordered. If they can allow their children to die from lack of blood, it isn't a far reach to believe that if they were told not to save others if within their power (i.e. Apostate needing CPR) I could see many following through on that council.

No such suggestion has been given to date but ...

The above is the most I could see the average Witness agreeing to and agree about the lack of courage to stain their own hands.

From experience I can say that they do not have a problem killing people spiritually. Is there a difference? They have created thier own set of rules as to who is worthy of life and who is not. If you are not worthy in thier eyes you're a dead man walking.

The problems about Nazi germany were reported on another site some years back. It was based on

Gestapo transcripts found after the war that recorded interrogations of Witnesses. Apparently, some

gave up other brothers easily and in detail. There were accusations about the branch overseer, Br.

Frost doing this. Some in the Society knew about these events and warned about 'hating your brother

and what if you ended up in prison together' thereafter. Betrayal was why so many leading brothers

    ended up in concentration camps.

( I think the site was Norm Hovland?)

You must understand that the organization has always been rife with jealousy and animosity

among brothers. If you doubt me, just read the posts about Regional Building Committees

and local brothers. I've seen heartless things done by elders against each other and other Witnesses,

motivated by simple envy. If you have any doubts about Witnesses being heartless and

unprincipled, then take a good look at divorce cases in many congregations.

Remember when Jonesy Boy instructed his followers to drink the Kool Aid? How many died due to an errant belief?

How many more JWs have died due to a lack of vaccinations, organ transplants, and NOW the blood transfusion rule? Maybe they (the WTS leaders) aren't ordering hits like the mob, but they DO kill.

Just my personal opinion, for what it is worth.

    Absolutely.

All the points you mentioned are in the form of 'drinking the cool-aid".
