Obviously, you've missed the whole thrust of this thread. It's not about the Bible - and in Watchtower
land, it never was. The Bible means anything they want it to, period.
When I was much younger, a Bethel speaker at the Gilead graduation asserted "Jesus never
complained!" . I immediately got out my Bible and turned to Mark , in which Jesus says "Faithless
generation, how long must I put up with you" ( or words to that effect).
Let's take the current "this generation" for example. Open a concordance and see what "this
generation" refers to - plainly and simply. It was the "generation" that rejected Jesus.
Want a final example of how a scripture can be warped into it's exact opposite in meaning
by the Watchtower? Take a look at the "Sheep and the Goats" parable. Instead of general
charity, as Jesus intended, it is distorted into cult-like obedience to the "faithful slave"
as Christ's brothers. From broad love to narrow, selfish conformity.
