We survived our first Canadian halloween!

    we got to meet a lot of neighbours.

    That one of things I like about this holiday...if fosters a sense of community.

    I rigged up a fog machine on the porch and spent the evening scaring small children. You can't get a better night IMO

    lol, my neighbour has loads of fun doing this every year. Funny thing is, you never see him rig his lawn up, and you never see him take it all down. It's like a ghost does it all.....

    Glad you are settled in, here in Canada, eh? I know, I know...it's old now....

    What is Halloween like back in the UK? Is it much different?

    Yes, it's not as big (although the shops are now trying to push it) and you only get a few kids calling round (usually with no costume and in dribs and drabs upto a fortnight before the actual day)

    Isnt this the same as GUY FAWKS?? I have forgotten.

    It's just before ... we'd just be getting ready for 'Bonfire Night' now if we were back in the UK.

    It almost seems strange to think that we used to go into shops and buy explosives !! (no permit required)
