Am I the only one who is annoyed as hell at acronyms for things that cause confusion but could easily be spelled out?

Military men are just dumb stupid animals to be used as pawns in foreign policy But you cant tell them that to their face or they whack you.

Back here in the states I refer to them as redneck republicans. Dumb young and full of come. Thinning the herd. We all start out as stupid animals, if you dont wise up quick your cannon fodder. I have one 21 year old friend who was in the army, He says they were moving targets.

Offensive - many officers have degrees - these days there are also women in the military

A degree does not make you smart. George Bush has a degree.

A degree could make you an educated wise man, or an educated fool.

Didnt you ever hear of high tech rednecks?

No not the US army in it's current form. The founding fathers envisioned an army drafted only in a time of true need not the current it's around for the sake of being arround in order to ward off imaginary foes in far off lands.

Acronyms are ok if you have a limited audience that all know what they are and why they're used. In a general setting, they are cumbersome and uncalled for. For instance, in law school we use several acronyms that the general public will not be familiar with. F.S.A. is one such acronym. We use it repeatedly in Property class, and so we all know what it means--Fee Simple Absolute. An acronym saves us time without causing confusion within a limited audience.

Jaguar, your characterization of rednecks is both racist and insulting.
