    Nosferatu,

Yes, that deck looks very useful and pretty too!

This is the Nak Dragon: http://www.vintagecassette.com/Nakamichi/Dragon I picked it up fully serviced for $1250, which is not bad for the Dragon. Problem is that pre-recorded tapes do not sound so good on the Dragon. It is really designed for Dragon only recordings. The C& however is a different story. http://www.vintagecassette.com/Nakamichi/CR-7

I have a few systems set up. The one I am using at the moment is Kinergetics c800 preamp, Kingergetics 200 amp, Linn Sondek with a Hadcock arm for the turntable, Nak C7, and the beautiful Technics SL1300 CD player which I picked up for $55.00 online. The speakers I built myself with a few crossover modifications from a design by the brilliant Danish speaker designer Troels Gravasen, http://www.troelsgravesen.dk/W15.htm. If you are looking for a pair of monitors under $1000.00 for parts, they cannot be beaten imo. I stand them next to my massive Vandersteen's with 12" bass units and ask listeners which speakers are playing - 100% of them point to the mini-monitors. They are double skinned. 3/4" MDF internally and covered in a 1/2 solid oak skin. They weigh about 30lbs each and measure 11" x 12" x 8"!

$10 for a complete set of golf clubs with bag, three dozen qulity golf balls. The garage sale was on its last day and it was starting to rain and everything went for whatever you offered. I really wasn't in the market for a set of clubs, but blurted out "ten bucks" and the guy said "get it outa here before I change my mind"! Don't get to play very often , but hey, I can't complain..... carmel

Best bargain was my current car, a 1988 Chrysler Pimp Avenue with 155,000kms on it for $400.

It's in awesome shape, too. The interior (deep red crushed velour - looks like a bordello, heh heh) is really clean and all the power accessories work, the body is completely straight and the paint is in really good glossy condition except for a few surface rust bubbles. Vinyl top is immaculate, too.

I normally would never have considered a car like this but cripes, I used to pay more than that on monthly payments ALONE for my 2004 Mazda 3.

My Best (and unfortunately my only) Bargain was an Amiga A3000 from a flea market for $20 CAN. It had the full 16 MB of ram (don't laugh, it was alot for the machine in its day ). It also had a video toaster card in it but no software. Since that computer only had the 2.04 ROM in it and the A3000 I already had was upgraded to 3.1, I just to as much ram from it and put it into mine. I saved myself $100 just on the zip ram. And I then sold the A3000 with the video toaster card for $200 to a company in Toronto that sold these things at the time. Those guys probably sold the card for that amount alone but I wasn't really an ebayer at the time.

The best bargain I ever received was a free copy of David A. Reed's 'ANSWERING JEHOVAH's WITNESSES Subject By Subject'

    Still have it.

Still use it to help JW's out of the cult.

I picked up a Dennon 7.1 Home Theater System, receiver, 7 speakers and a sub all for $120. Two weeks later Costco started selling the same system for $449.
