i once bought a beautiful papered quarter horse mare and trailer and all the tack, and 4 saddles, from a middle aged lady, i asked her why so cheap, and she said she was leaving her lesbian lover, roomate, and she had an affair on her, and this was the payback , i sold it later for 10 times what i paid.

a full length black leather coat for $5.00 at a garage sale. It had the original tags on it...never been worn. I have had it for 5 years and wear it all fall and winter... can't seem to wear it out.
That same year I got a 100% cashmere full lengh coat (not at a garage sale) for $75.00...marked down from $800. I hardly ever wear it because I have this $5.00 leather coat that takes a beating....

I got a brand new 6db (true 6db, not 'dbi') white stick uhf cb antenna for 40 cents last year. Home base antenna, not a mobile. It was at the electronics store where I was working at the time, head office had dropped home base antennas altogether and kept marking the range down. No one who worked there knew what it even was. We were doing stocktake when I found it, ran a price inquiry.... SOLD!
There around $250 to buy currently.
