Anyway talking to so many that had left, it seems that was one of the biggest reasons.

I've seen so many just walk away from it all because of burnout. When all you hear from the platform is "DO MORE!!!!" the most likely occurence will be for ones to just give up. The WTS as well as local congregations can't seem to grasp that for some reason. And to think, silly me thought that true Christianity was supposed to be refreshing like Jesus said.

I mean you just always felt "Bad" for not doing more in the field service or at the meetings. Your a MS why can't you be an elder. Your a pubisher.... why can you pioneer?

Then the would always have some poor sister at the assembly married to some drunk unbeliever, who would beat the shit out of her, she would have 6 kids.....she was dying of cancer but she pioneered.....

The speaker would say "Well brothers and sisters if she can do it why can't we?"

I just isn't a "feel good" religion. If didn't feel bad....what was wrong with you?

I was struggling to go by myself with 3 kids, the youngest with weak lungs aggravated by the mold in the Hall. We had finally made it to Sunday. I overhear my late bro-in-law, the SO, asking my middle child, "Well you really should be having a family study. Why aren't you?" She was 8. I threw up my hands and thought well f*** all the pride of accomplishment I felt. As I got home from the last meeting I went to, sore and tired from wrestling with a bored 2 yr old, I just knew I couldn't do it anymore.

But they're kept busy for a reason, you won't really notice the big wide world passing you by.
