Are You A More "Moral" Person Now Than When You Were A Witness?

Yes, i have more moral integrity, now. As a jw, i felt bad about some things that i thought i had to do; shunning the dffed, rejecting people simply because they weren't jw. I also felt bad about some things that i did that were wrong by jw standards. Now, i can have associates that are agreeable to me, regardless of their religions, or other surface appearances. I am more ballanced, morally.

If you can be honest, were you more morally upright as a Jehovah's Witness?

In most things yes, but in one glaring area I was not. Strangely and thankfully, leaving JW gave me clarity in more ways than one.

In the sense I am less judgemental I suppose the answer is yes

I was never judge mental in my heart as a JW. It's just that I was uncomfortably trying to adjust my personality to a range of situations that made me feel awkward in view of the belief system I was applying. It was one of psychological conflict and used to make me more nervous and excluded and unhappy than I think anybody realized. Maybe they thought I was self righteous?

My morality has always been based on situaltional ethics.

I act morally because, I dont want to pay the consequences of acting immorally.

    Cause and effect.

In this day and age someone is always looking or tracking our actions.

But then I think cause and effect is the reason for all actions. The only reason someone acts morally is thet want the effect or results of those actions.

Basically, I have always been a pretty moral person, because I dont like the drama that comes with immorallity.
