Oh no! They are not just dogs, or just pets!

I am so sorry for this.

It's true, its not "just a dog". They are part of the family, and they are your best buddy. Hopefully everything will turn out well. I'm not sure I would want to take him back to the Vet College.

I lost my 16 year old spitz about this time last year, and also my 14 year old cat. It's hard and I still miss them. My little mutt dog grieved more I did, at least he acted like it. He doesn't really like the new kitten because he's so full of energy. The poor dog just wants a nap.

Dawg, I would take up for my dog too.

Thank you all for your replies.

I've been on the phone with the college this moring. I will recieve the next round of radiation for no charge, plus all the xrays, ultrasounds etc they will have to do on Friday to make sure the cancer didn't spread to any other organs. I just feel so bad for the poor thing, having to go through this all again!

I know she is not "just a dog", trust me! We've done everything possible for my little girl. It's just that I know so many that are going through battles of their own that are much more serious.

I wish I didn't have to take her back to the college, and that is one of the reasons we had the tumor removed and tested on our own. I haven't been real impressed with them. Once hubby went to pick her up and he waited over two hours becasue the couldn't find her!! Unfortunately there is only one other place that does radiation on dogs and it's about a 2 hr drive away , plus they need to fix this.

I know this is just a dog,

No, this is not just a dog. This is a beloved pet and family member.

So sorry this is happening. Please give her a tummy rub for me.

You don't have to explain the "just a dog" thing. It is a family member. Besides that, you paid money for an expert opinion and expert treatment. You did not get what you paid for, and it is their responsibility.

Love the picture of the bird with the Santa hat! I have a new kitty that is ours now for 6 months. If someone messes with our Lila, there would be trouble brewing. She's a giant 4 legged furball now.

This is why when you go to the hospital for an operation on a particular arm or leg they hand you a majic marker to write on which arm or leg you want to be operated on. Kinda makes me afraid of a vasectomy!! I may wake up with 2 extra nuts and a circumcision.

Poor poochie having to go thru that traumatizing ordeal all over again. I hope the delay in treatment will not affect the outcome. BB, hope all turns out well. Peace, Lilly
