I feel for you. I have 4 dogs. Maybe next time you should take your dog to a reputible vet instead of trying to save money by going to a teaching college.
Thats like going to a college to get your teeth fixed. Or going to a college for your own health.
Or going to a barber college.
It equates to taking the cheap way out and getting shoddy service.

JB - you obviously didn't read my post. This is a world renowned teaching college. In my time there, I've met people from all over Canada and the US that have come there for treatment for their pets. And there are only two places in the province that does radiation on dogs. This was not cheap either!! It was not a decision based on either saving a buck or saving my dogs life. If I had wanted to make that decisions I would have just put her down and not done all that I could for her.
Mistakes happen, no matter where you go.

I go to the School of Dentistry and get excellent service there, in fact, better than at an average dental office. Jaguarbass, I can't imagine what prompted you to reply with such an assinine remark as you did, but it was very callous, and far short of the mark. I know of the college that BB took her dog to, and I assure you it is not 'second rate' and generally has an excellent reputation, so perhaps you should be sure of what you're saying before you shoot your mouth off.
