What's the best way to break in cowboy boots?

They sell a cream or oil you put on them if they are leather. Then you just wear them in, kind of like a baseball mit. If they are skin, there's not much you can do.

Properly fitted footwear shouldn't have to be broken in.
I have two pair. One for dancing and the other I got married in. Both are very comfy.

Putting them on and walking to Columbus, Ohio would probably do the trick. I'll even offer you a beer when you arrive!

Well, other than the fact that I really don't know how to break those boots is ... the first thought that came to mind :
Use them in the bedroom

Avishai, shoe stores can stretch them, if you can still find one that does that! (we used to get them wet and wear them till they dried, but leather doesn't always do well with water and it will dye your socks)

bro....... depends on what they look like........... or you want them to look like.
if your a colin farell who just dosent give a *&^% how your boots look as long as they are comfortable........... go find a good mud puddle and wade around in it all day. the water will get the leather wet and supple and then as you walk it will stretch where your feet move against it.....upside is the boot will be comfortable but ive had them fit one of my feet diferently and had a wierd shape..... comfortable but a little weird looking. another good thing is the boot will dry and still have the shape and it will happen QUICKLY
if you want to guarantee that the boots still look as good as new............... or if they are high dollar or skin ect........... put talcum powder inside to help keep you from getting blisters and go to a shoe store........ a real one not foot locker and look for leather creams cause as was mentioned they do sell them to help loosen the leather.

Oh Thanks Dinah, Cause I sure wasn't gonna ask Vivamus how that would break those boots in.
Avishai if you do wear the boots to that song from the utube link, and do that dance.... would you pleasee film and post?? think of it as an audition adoring fans could constructively advise you, on which moves may of been the best for making the boots fit better.
