. The day I decided to take control of my financial life, to make something happen instead of waiting for it to happen. (about 5 years ago)

That would eventually come to play a large role in my leaving the Watchtower and affect my view of faith and divine intervention.

Ya know what they say about those rich men, don't ya?

    Not rich.

Just have some control that I didn't before, simply because I chose to.

I read a book called the richest man in babylon back in the 80's

Then I paid my house off when I was 40 and have stayed out of debt since.

Probably the day I got my internet connection.

Excellent book. WAC, turned me on to it about six months ago or so and I have a ways to go, but it makes A LOT of sense. I wish I would have read this when I first left home in '86.

I never heard of that book, do you think it had anything to do with paying off your house? If so, is there anything in that book that could help you with your current financial status?

Junction Guy, My current financial status is good. I have to work. I have to pay for taxes and airconditioning and walking around money.

My job requiring me to work 16 hour days is my major problem.

I've always had a job that required overtime and I always worked it. Thats how I paid my house off at 40.

But 16 hour days starting at 10:30 pm.

I'm going to check the papper tomorrow and at the first of the year I will try applying at some other jails where they have more staff.

Trying to run a facility 24/7 with 80 officers is the problem and the state doesnt want to staff with a hundred officers which would solve the problem.

Some how the college educated bean counters think its more feasable to send 25 a year to the accademy for 3 weeks than retain those who can do the job by hiring more staff.

    It's probably pure economics.
