Their numbers are declining in the developed world, and they're really desperate. This post brings up some benefits of the women's movement I had not considered: fewer JW conversions of unhappy housewives, fewer divided families, fewer children torn between opposing factions in their household, more families celebrating holidays and enjoying life!

    Good job, Big S!

To be honest, sometimes I feel sorry for Satan. Every little thing that doesn't go their way is put on Satan. If only the religion would realize that the cold-calling method just doesn't work they'd save alot of trouble. Christendom has more considerable increase when you compare the two, yet they are constantly using other methods to get the message out.

As for more women in the workforce now, I guess it would be easy for JWs to place the blame on women actually having to enter the workforce. He does control the economy since the world belongs to him. Oh, but wait....I guess they forgot about all the single women and mothers that HAVE to work.

omg, I laughed so hard reading this thread, I nearly spilled hot coffee on myself! Thanks, I am feeling sick today and needed it.

That being said, I wished I was in the congregation when this jackass said that, I would have laughed myself right off the seat. What a complete moron!

I also would have asked him what took Jehovah so long in getting the message out to change the witnessing tactics? Is he asleep up there or what? I think he needs a new personal assistant! Anyone up for the job? Peace, Lilly

I guess really, anything not beneficial to the WTS is a "satanic plot".

    Bad news coverage--"a satanic plot"
Critical discussion on the internet--"a satanic plot"
lawsuits for protecting molesters--"a satanic plot"

Naa mate, this is too ridiculous. Are you sure you heard the CO properly when he said this? Or are you maybe exaggerating slightly?

"The world is in such sad shape, that if people only got the chance to listen to us, they'd be joining us. So Satan, rather than try to resist this, came up with a different plan. Keep people out of the homes, so they can't hear our message.

Well, if they are that concerned with getting the message out, why don't they take out an ad on TV? Or at the beginning of movies? Hmmm, they CLAIM to want to get their message out, yet they don't take advantage of any of the effective ways to do that. Hmmm......

Oh he definitely said it, with a straight face too.

He is well iinto his seventies. I can easily imagine someone immersed in JW-land for decades with little contact with the"real" world, as a CO must be, to have such a viewpoint. Heck, most of the JW men over age 70 that I know have a similar outlook! And quite a few under 70, for that matter, come to think of it...
