Anyone ever see Willie Nelson? Saw him in '79....pretty good concert, a bit redneck but that was ok.
for Uriah Heep fans, my fav song of theirs. I was all about love and peace MAN!!

He was the wizard of a thousand kings
And I chanced to meet him one night wandering
He told me tales and he drank my wine
Me and my magic man kind of feeling fine
He had a cloak of gold
And eyes of fire
And as he spoke I felt a deep desire
To free the world of its fear and pain
And help the people to feel free again
Why don't we listen to the voices in our hearts
'Cause then I know we'd find we're not so far apart
Everybody's got to be happy
Everyone should sing
For we know the joy of life
The peace that love can bring
So spoke the wizard in his mountain home
The vision of his wisdom means we'll never be alone
And I will dream of my magic night
And the million silver stars that guide me with their light -

But The Best Showman is the BOSS, Bruce Springsteen. I have worshipped at the 'Church of Bruce' 4 times and going again next March.
Yep, and I'm not even a big fan. Helluva showman.

Phil Collins, 4th row on the floor, McNichols Arena, Denver, Colorado
Neil Young at Red Rocks, Denver, Colorado
Bridges to Babylon, Rolling Stones at Owen Field, Oklahoma University, Norman
And Bullfrog Blues that used to play on Friday nights, in the early 90's at the Royal Tavern in Manitou Springs, Colorado were pretty darn good, a lot of Stevie Ray Vaughn and Grateful Dead stuff.
I wish I could have gone to a Grateful Dead concert.

Several Neil Diamond concerts. We had a couple in our KH who owned a music store and sold concert tickets. They always got us front row seats. Great shows!!
Last year we saw The Brothers Cazimero, from Hawaii. Really good show, but not on the level of Neil Diamond.
We've also seen The Platters, Coasters and Drifters in Las Vegas three times. Not the original groups, but a great show, and they sound just as good as the originals. Now, that really dated me didn't it?

George Harrison with Ravi Shankar and his orchestra and Billy Preston. George came out sang a song. Then brought out Billy they sang together. Then Ravi and his orchestra came out and they performed the whole Dark Horse show together. It was amazing. Next would Neil Young on his Greendale tour. Both concerts were legendary. Then Kenny Wayne Shepherd.

I haven't been to that many concerts but I'd have to say seeing the Rolling Stones a couple of years ago was my favorite so far. Yeah, I rented the binocs and with the roll out stage, I was right there on stage with 'em. Having said that, a huge kick for me is watching the crowd and where in the world are you going to find a more diverse throng than at a Stones concert. That is a show in and of itself!

avishai, thanks for the Floater clip. I have to check them out
For me there are several standouts,
- Dire Straits with guest Eric Clapton, Springfield, MA 1980s
- Moody Blues, Manchester NH early/mid 1980s
- Cowboy Junkies, Toronto
- Van Halen 5150 tour, Dallas Ft Worth
- Steppenwolf, Detroit 1971??
- Crosby and Nash 70's sometime (I still have the "Nasby and Crosh" t-shirt somewhere LOL!! )
I woulda given a 'nad, maybe both, to have seen Mr. James Marshall Hendrix back in the day . .
