Yes. I often notice how they start out as just contrails, and then, they grow and grow, until they fill half the sky. I call it SKYGARBAGE, and i hate it. They spread litter across the sky.

Yes, we have these constantly on the northeastern skies over our house. They also criss-cross and grow quite large. I once tried to look this up online, but saw so many disturbing things about them (things I had no clue how to change) I stopped looking and tried to forget about it.

Three years ago I saw a perfect criss-cross/tic tac toe pattern over the Cascades one night at around 10:00 PM. It was a clear night and the moon was at 3/4 so it was very visible. It did not correspond to any flight patterns that I normally see. I have read some strange disturbing info about them but it is one of those topics that has many questions and few answers.
