Are Your Credit Cards Paid In Full or Are You Behind??

On a side note, I like to use a CC for many purchases because of the extra protections afforded by them. I have successfully disputed several charges after being ripped off by different companies.
There are also the warranty extensions that CC's offer (usually extends the manufacturer warranty by 1 year), lost or stolen coverage (the cc company will replace the item) and rental car coverage (much better than paying $25 per day for insurance in addition to the actual rental fee).
I take full advantage of all of the extras when possible.
In the past the CC companies mercilessly took advantage of my debt to them. I have now turned the tables on them and squeeze every dime out of them I can.

Finally-Free
Ok, I was debt free until an hour and a half ago. I just signed my life away by buying a house and taking on a mortgage.

Congratulations Finally-Free!!!!
We are debt free, no car payments or anything. We have a few things that are automatically paid by credit card every month, but then we pay it off every month also. Racking up those frequent flyer miles!

we pay our credit cards off every month, even though we sometimes have to live off our credit cards b/c we're both freelance, but we haven't had to pay interest fees for about three years b/c we always pay before the grace period.
congrads on getting out of that debt, once you're off it you'll feel great.
one thing i just found out is that to get a better credit report score in the usa, you need to keep your balance at about 30% of your credit limit. i had no clue about that, so we're paying twice a month and use a bit of savings to get our average down so when we can buy a house we'll be lookin' sweet to the lender.

We have 4 cards, 2 personal and 2 business. We always pay more than the miniumum, but usually are up to the hilt due to business purchases. All cards at about 8 to 10 percent interest and written off on taxes.
If we got into a bad situation, could pay them off out of retirement funds now earning about 25 to 30%.
Still it doesn't feel good to be so in debt.......but thats business.

I got in big credit card debt to pay for a move a decade ago (maxed out five cards), and got out of it three or four years later. I got a thou on my credit cards now to pay off (because of travel expenses + Christmas shopping), but I will be able to do so in January. I am in debt tho becaue of student loans, but I have been steadily paying them off.

Restrangled - how are you earning 25-30 percent on retirement funds? While I have had years I've made more than that in no way can I guarantee that I will make 30% on my retirement funds. Please enlighten us on your investing secret. Cheers, Gravey
