Your honesty about your the attitude towards children is great. You know what you want and do not want. I recoil from unruly and abusive children the same as i would about like minded adults.
Don't worry about Ninja's comment on you avatar, if he is awake he will explain, he has a wacky sense of humour and is lovely- see related thread where's Ninja?.
If he does not answer you don't forget it is 10-;15 pm here. and Ninja has just got back from the states.

I am sooooooo thankful I never had kids - I lack the "gene" or whatever it is that allows the bonding thing. I (without sarcasm) bow to the good parents on this board and everywhere that know that feeling and care for children. I only know of the importance of kids from a very intellectual point of view - and a hope that every one of their lives are better than mine was.
I'm really not trying to be confrontational about the issue. I just have a different opinion, that's all. Not once did I say anything negative about other people's love for children, only that they're not for me.
Condemning someone because they don't share your ideals or values kinda reminds me of the attitude of a certain oraganization that we all havo come to know and *ahem* love.
They are usually sweet, clear, innocent, smell good (I've never met a baby with bad breath..the other end is another matter)..... and they taste pretty good too. A little garlic, can of cream of mushroom soup season to taste 320 till preferred doneness. (just kidding except for the first part)
My brother doesn't like kids either, except my angels of course! I think if more people acknowledged that there would less abuse and unwanted babies. Ninja makes off colored jokes sometimes.

I'm doing it mostly alone, i have primary custody, her mom gets her when she can, but she married a military guy so she moves alot. I don't understand how some folks can stand to be away from their kids, much less choose to as she did, but whatever, I love being w/ my girl.
It's obvious by her smile you are doing great. My mom left my bro and sis when they were 16 and 13. I can't stand it when they go to the mall with someone but me.
