wow, you all are doing so well! I imagine I'll lose next week, I don't seem to lose every week any more, although I stick with the diet and I am increasing the exercise. OK - now week two starts! I worked from 7:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. with a half hour break to go grab lunch. I didn't walk, obviously. But tomorrow I'll have more time for it, which will be nice.

Great job everyone! (although I just read an article about not saying things like "great job" to your child and being concerned about over-praising them.....screw that! everyone including my son gets "great jobs" from me)

I'll weigh in tomorrow night (the only crummy thing about night meetings is that it isn't that first thing out of bed weigh in the morning when you are all nice and light!)

I'm anticipating 4-5 pounds for the first week. That may sound like a lot but when I eliminate things like sugar and Pepsi from my food intake, my body throws a party and drops weight like crazy the first couple of weeks.

I had been at the same weight for the past 4 weeks, not counting my points on a daily basis but trying to be aware of what I was eating. That prevented any gaining during December but it takes much more effort to actually lose.

I did have one AGGGGHHH moment though. I recalculated my Points due to my recent weight loss and found that I went down on the point/weight scale and now I'm supposed to be at 22 points per day. Waaaahhh!! I'm sticking with the 23 through tomorrow and then will start on 22 per day on Wednesday.

I ran 1 mile last night & briskly walked another & worked out on weights again last night. (Did not run tonight..).

I've lost about ...not sure. Perhaps a pound.... perhaps nothing.

I've heard that exercise will initially increase your weight, as your body is repairing the tissues (more water).

But, most of all..... I FEEL GREAT!

Did anyone see Ellen yesterday? She had some diet nut, who was giving secrets. The nut said to put "diced prunes" in the hamburger meat. Cuts fats by 40% & gives you extra calories. Ellen said

The diet guru also said to put dash of cinnamon on everything. Helps curb sugar fluctuations & keeps "bloating" at bay as it's a natural diaretic.

So, I'm doing the cinnamon. But, haven't got the courage to mess with my "cheeseburger in paradise."

    Hi folks,

it's really week two - haven't changed to another post yet. Didn't walk today - worked without a break 8:30 to 5:30. But my callories are lower too as I am too tired to eat much. How are the rest of you doing?

I heard that it takes 3 weeks to start a new habit. So, in another week, we'll all be fitness & diet pros. I swam today for 1/2 hour in a nice, heated pool. My afternoon weight is less than my evening weight last week....so something is going down.... Skeeter
