I strapped myself to a metal pole during a lightening storm, al la Frankenstien style.

My friendships now are much more sincere and true than I have ever experienced before!
I feel exactly the same way! As soon as I started fading I realized how superficial so many of those friends were as they started ignoring me and putting "labels" on me. The friends I am making now are a much more diverse group and certainly help me grow as an individual better as I am exposed to a vast range of viewpoints and ideas. We don't all HAVE to agree - that's the great part - it's about respecting each other. So certainly making new friends was one of the first things I did as well!
