I've already seen two generations die who were not supposed to die and the Watch Tower is bigger and meaner than ever. They seem to thrive on failure.
The Witnesses told my parents that they didn't have to live and they didn't have to die. Didn't have to live in the sense that they didn't have to take the actions that responsible adults take, such as getting an education and a career, see that their children were educated, or save and plan for retirement.
Witnesses will sit around and talk about how long they will be dead. Now that my definition of insanity.
What will be the reaction in the congregation when...

Actually a variation of this question that I have, what happens when all the first generation witnesses pass away, when all that's left is the second and third generation witnesses who were never as gung ho as their parents who came in of their own valition. Maybe the orginization will become alot more leanient.
Could this have anything to do with generational curses? There is some scripture that says those who do not keep God's laws will be cursed to the third and fourth generations.
Being caught up in a delusion is certainly a curse.
What happens to break the generational curse?
Could this be any indication that wts will not exist after the fourth generation?

I agree with JOURNEY -ON and what she said. I do think also after 2014, people will start leaving more like rats off a sinking ship ! I talked with a prominent member of our board yesterday and I was informed that many young people teens, people in their 20's and 30's are developing critical thinking skills and leaving the organization. I haven't been to a meeting in a Kingdom Hall in over 4 years ; however I am told that when you go to a meeting these days you see mostly gray or white hair ! Is that true ? Can anybody verify that ? I really don't know ; haven't been there. Just curious. But inevitably this organization is going down

The last congregation of many I was in was one full of elderly ones. In the few years I was there, there was without a word of a lie a funeral pretty much every other month. The congregation went from about 110 pubs to about 79 when I left, even with a good influx of new ones! However, when I got there in 2001, there was about 10 teenager, when I left there were 2 left, one just getting old enough to be considered a teenager, all others had left the trooof. By the way, both of those left are only in temperarily. They are a bro and sis, the bro was my best friend who I haven't heard anything from since I was going to kill myself back in September, his sister is the two faced one I mentioned back in the summer, they are both biding their time until they are on their own.

OR.... You all may be consigning JW's to the trash can prematurely. Jesus warned against getting complacent. The evil slave gives up waiting for the master's return. Since the past does not necessarily equal the future don't be too quick to place your bets. Could it be that the very fact that the organization can't survive much longer that perhaps it's deliverance scenario is about to unfold. Things can change drastically AND quickly!

Are you saying that you believe that Bible prophecy actually correlates to the WTB&TS of Jehovah's Witnesses? Are you still connecting the evil slave to JWs in some way?

Tula,
While your thoughts are interesting, that was under the Old Covenant. We are under the New Covenant now. Jesus paid for our sins so our ancestors won't have to and we won't either if we will believe.

Journey: There are a lot of scriptures both "old and new testament" that refer to a group called "the holy ones". This refers to a group of people who are separate from the world. The point of separation is that they are not "friends of the world". Their stance on the nations wars bring these holy ones into conflict so that they are objects of hatred by all nations. The death of Jesus was the result of his alleged Kingship in a kingdom that he declared to Pilate is "not of this world". I don't see any significant candidates for this role other than JW's. All other so-called Christian religions are wrapped up in earthly governments. The faithful slave is not the Watchtower. The faithful slave is the individual/s that remains watchful for his master's return. This neutrality characteristic is too important AND significant to ignore. So if you think the Bible has any prophetic significance you have to eventually point to who you think are the "holy ones".
