    This whole thing stinks.

Unfortunately we will keep hearing more of the same until something is done to stop it, on a more permanent basis.

It is a long hard battle, but it is worth the fight.

These types of senseless death's DO NOT NEED TO HAPPEN ....they are so preventable!! There is enough to worry about in this world that is unpreventable, it is such as shame that things that are preventable are allowed to continue.

It is the negligence of the elders and the governing body which keep these atrocities happening constantly. I feel we are just seeing the tip of the iceberg worldwide. Lots more of these cases are under way I have been told and will in time come out ! It is only a matter of time before the Watchtower society comes crashing down ! All in due time

I'm reading a book "Why the French hate head scarves" It has given me insight onto the French's dealing with religion.

The French beleive that religion must be regulated. The French own most of the Catholic church & other church property that was around at the turn of the century. The newer property they don't own will revert to the French government in a set number of years. They require the churches & mosques to have a public meeting room that's open to everyone. Public government employees do not wear a religious symbols & education is centered around secular teachings (the goal is to make a good French citizen, not a religious person). Even private schools are highly limited on their religious teachings if they or their teachers accept pubic funds. They even have a bureau of religions which oversees the organized religions!

In short, I think their bureau of religions would be very interested in Barbara Anderson's Pedophilia CD. Anyone out there know French? If we could teach the French government more about how the abuse came from the JW policies...then the JWs will have a much harder time in France.

Thank you for the link to the article, Chasson. In the final paragraph thereof, it is stated that the congregation's 85-year old Presiding Overseer (= "le doyen" ?) claimed to have received information to the effect that the young woman (herself the mother of a 13-year old girl) killed herself because of a worsening case of multiple sclerosis.

    Merci Charles :)

The second article still suggests that the rape were committed in the Kingdom Hall while stating that it occurred during the preaching work -- a contradiction by the JW inner terminology, which the journalist could easily miss since "prédication" (preaching) usually refers to the "sermon" part of church services...

"Doyen" in this context means nothing but the "oldest person in the congregation" (85 y.o.). Not necessarily the P.O.

Apparently the mother of the girl who committed suicide is still a JW.

(Sorry for the empty posts, I messed with my kb).
