Dear Honest Friends,

Thanks for the truth.

A newly emerging beard is having the decency to disguise whattles that gravity wreaks playful havoc upon. I wish I knew what it is about the camera equalling ballooned weight. Per my avatar (my true resemblace 30 years ago) I am still an angular face with strong chin (now hiding). When shot by the cam, however, I am bulbous - nearly identical in looks to the old swashbuckler before he passed on.

Go figure ...

I am still described, referring to my CD jewel case insert released last week, as "hot", "a hottie", "very attractive".

The camera is flattering to me, if a bit confused.

In the right light, I'm positively gorgeous. But in the wrong light, I look like Yoko Ono and Steven Tyler's unholy love child.

I photograph so badly that when we were planning our daughter's wedding I asked the photographer to stay away from me and only put me in some key pictures. My daughter is gorgeous and very photogenic and I did not want to ruin her pictures.

As it turns out, those are some of the best pictures of me. I was feeling really happy that day, the weather was beautiful (outdoor ceremony), and I had a "killer" dress. It all added up to great pictures.

I get asked out all the time on-line and never in person. So from this obeservation, I would say that the camera treats me better than sunlight.
