My intent was not to hijack the thread here, or rehash an old subject.
I provided the link to show an example that bad verbal behavior on the part of many on that thread led to bad results. I have not been upset about this for months. I was "over it" long before that thread ended. I didn't once call anyone a derogatory name...or attack anyone personally. You said that I gave as good as I got. I think anyone reading the whole thread would disagree. If anyone is interested, they can read the whole thread and see how it went. That's why I did not repost individual responses. That would be taking things out of context, and misrepresenting the development of that thread.

Sorry, I disagree with you on all counts. I suggest anyone wishing to get an unbaised view of events should re-read the thread. You made the first derogatory comments toward myself Coffee, you must take repsonsibility for that.
I also question whether you are in fact 'over this'. You raised the matter in pm to me recently as it is still obviously alive inside you.
We must agree to disagree on this.

I think you don't know what bankrupcy means. In most cases, a person declaring bankrupcy under law does not lose their home. It is the one asset that is protected from creditors. Forclosure is when you can no longer make the payments on your mortgage and the bank reposesses it. Maybe you can ask John Edwards to explain it...his company recently forclosed on 6 properties in Louisiana they financed.
Not sure why I'm wasting my breath here...you completely ignore my posts anyway. Maybe it's because you can't answer my points...

What bothers me is when you only have cetain posters that come out to argue their point. If there is no argument you don't hear from them. If you don't agree with them they get nasty.
Opinions are like A**holes, we all have one and they all stink. In the big picture - no one here takes care of my family, pays my bills, puts food on my table.............

You are incorrect and your own post above condemns your claims.
I described as 'dumbasses' people who were demanding evidence and not reading the posts which contained them. The reason that I described them as 'dumbasses' was well...because they were behaving like 'dumbasses'.
This post was not directed at anybody personally, it was a general comment to all those ignoring the evidence and yet demanding to see it.. YOU then wrote your first post to me before I had written ANYTHING to you personally and did so with a personal attack calling me immature for describing dumbasses as such, and suggesting that I ignored your posts because I was incapable of answering them.
Take responsibility for your words as I do Coffee Cup. Your claims that I attacked you without provocation are just plain wrong, though I am pleased that you have reminded me of this thread as it actually underlines my own views as stated in our pm exchange. I stand by every word I wrote then and that I write now.

In answer to Flipper's question, nope.
Why do persons at times resort to abuse? A major reason could be that they honestly, unequivocally believe they are correct and if someone cannot see their basis for their logical response, then they regard the other as dumb, uneducated, ignorant or outright stupid.
And it might not be "nice" of them but they might be right.
Strangely enough this was posted on a musicians Board which I regularly read but rarely participate in. These are not my words though I agree completely with the sentiments of the reply, and no again, these are not my words:

I think that there are those here who take themselves far too seriously, people who are unwilling or unable to say "I don't know." I've noticed people posting just for the sake of it on threads where they obviously either have no knowledge of or interest in the topic being discussed, or they seem to have a need to make their presence known by being disruptive in some way.
I generally stay with the musician to musician and the theory forums, but even there I've found people posting stuff that seems to be designed only to call attention to themselves.
Then there are the ones who just can't take being disagreed with, and rather than giving some thought to an opposite view they respond with indignant outrage. Again, they seem to take themselves much too seriously.
I'm here to learn. But I do like to chat and cut up and be silly too. This is basically a very fun site, and I've learned a lot about music here, and I've had some of my prejudices challenged to the point where I've had to re-think these long-held ideologies, which is a very good thing.
