JW is just another word for 'Guilty till you lose!'

"We are all tired on a Saturday morning Derek. But some of us still manage to get out on the arrangement". Derek dies 6 months later from exhaustion. A fine example of theocratic obedience.

Here's one I just got from my cousin.

This brings me to the most painful part of this email....You know I could not love you more if you were my own sister. However, my love for my God, Jehovah, and my willingness to be loyal to his earthly representative is stronger. Therefore, I must follow the Bible's council to abstain from association with you until you have been reinstated.

    Here's another I got from a friend. . . or I guess it's former friend now.

You better believe that my arms will be wide open if you ever come back to Jehovah.

I know all the hurt and pain that you've been through, and I definately sympathize with you....there is nothing that I can say to you to change your mind. I feel comfort in knowing that there will be a resurrection of the rightous and the unrighteous, and that in the end, Jehovah is the final judge, and nobody else. I am so sad to read this email. I hope that one day you will change your mind before it's too late.

    "You might stumble your Brother."

Like I am totally responsible for someone's salvation; after these lying, cheating @#*($&*#'s declare someone has lost their salvation for speaking to a disfellowshipped one and disfellowshipped someone. they don't give credit for people knowing right from wrong; just THEIR right from wrong.

    Andre:

Said to my grown daughter: "Your grandmother is so upset that your mother is not coming to meetings. You'd think that she could come just to make her mother happy."

    This was around 2000.

A couple of years later the same "sister" said to the same grown daughter: "Why doesn't your mother come to meetings?"

Several points angered me in this -- 1) Thinking that using my mother to guilt me would get me to come back to meetings, when I was taking care of my mother and communicating quite well with her at this point (just not going to meetings with her). 2) Asking my daughter why "I" don't do something.

This particular "sister" lives on the same street I do. But obviously she has never had the nerve to ask me any question directly.

Last time I saw her in Kroger and spoke to her, I got a quick mumble and a deer-in-the-headlights look.

Because I'm such a DANGEROUS person, don't ya know?

    Good question, Andre!
