For those who have protested - did you ever feel you were making progress? Did people talk to you? Or did you feel you were simply "planting seeds"?
apostates at assemblys

I always felt like protesters make little impact because they appear to be the exact representation of an apostate, which is this fanatic satan-controlled person spreading lies. Any protester stands out and is easy to ignore. Apostates will make much more progress in one-to-one conversations and using the internet.
For example, although there are many great apostate sites on the web, the 6 screens site looks exactly like a site that looks apostate and would immediately turn most active witnesses away.
Basically, need to be more subtle.

I never saw anyone with signs although my mom did say to be careful that many apostates come in the assembly hall acting like jdubs and when they have an oppurtunity they try to work on you. wtf???anyway, now she freaks out when I say something she doesn't agree with.

Yes I remember it well , the instructions from the elders and the higher ups was that they were the evil slave class and they are directly controlled by Satan and his wicked evil forces
An obvious scare tactic to keep what they had to say at bay and out of ears reach.
To keep the obtained power and control , there are deliberate actions you must make or else suffer a loss

would like to know who is an apostate and is going to the assembly (cause of there family) to sit there all day...
I'm stuck (for now) also...
It would be cool if we could stick together a bit there for support...
can you imagine? I gaurantee our row would be paying closer attention than anyone else there! GAURANTEED....

ha ha ha counting asleep people, I used to drink a lot of water so I could get up and go pee, only just so I could get up and out of my seat, other than that just walk around scaming on chicks. Dodger Stadium was horrible, I think I posted on here about the Piss bowl in the mens room, very weird to stand in a circle peeing!

It would be more hurtful to the Org if they dressed in WT brown suits, put on a fake convention badge and hung out in front of the Convention Center, smoking, hugging other Dudes, drinking a Coke hidden in one of those wino-bags etc.
The WT is allllllll about appearances as all of us know.
They couldn't give a crap if you *stumble* one of the Bros, but put on a show like that in front of 100 different places would really cause them pain. -

Now I kinda understand. Perhaps they are good people trying to help others get out. Or maybe they are nutjobs. I've never talked to these people, but would now.
Man, you could mess with some JWs doing that!
Imagine: you go to the District Convention, dressed as a witness, your kids in tow, carrying your meeting bags, badge card on, and you WALK OVER AND TALK to the apostate, then shake his hand, sit down on the wall around the potted tree and listen to him attentively...
Man, I bet you could start some hubbub that way!!
Imagine, now: several folks get together on this, and the apostate draws a CROWD of "Jehovah's Witnesses", all nodding or at least looking intrigued, taking brochures with info and web addresses... could you pull in some REAL JW's doing that? The power of a crowd is a powerful thing... "what's got them all interested enough to actually TALK to this guy AT THE CONVENTION, IN FRONT OF ALL OF US!?"

We never get any here in Australia, and I have to admit I think that's a good thing. Even JWs here are too cynical for that to make a difference. The party faithful would just let it feed their persecution complex, and the pretenders would just think they're sad.
