I always thought they were a little pointlessto be honest, they looked like the Witnesses THOUGHT they would look like which basically reinforced their belief in Satan et al. Apostates would have been much better just dressing in civvies sitting next to single JW's and occasionally whispering "seriously can you believe this haha" "do you REALLTY believe that???" etc

I have seen some really good ideas on this thread, Minister Amos and a few others.
I have picketed several Kingdom Halls and a convention. It has been a couple of years now, but I may do some picketing again this year.
The internet is what freed me from the Watchtower, but not the internet itself, mainly just discovering that the Watchtower had changed its view on the 1914 generation, that alone was enough to convince me.
One thing I really regret is that there were very few visible apostate groups in Ohio back in the 1980's. If I could have found just one group of picketers with decent thought provoking signs, I believe my life would have taken a totally different course.
I didnt realize that the WT had lied so much in the past, and yet the evidence was right there all along in their very own publications. -

I remember an assembly in Niagara Falls NY when I was young (maybe 8-10yrs old). It was the Saturday morning session and the baptism talk was going on and up out of the group to be dunked came an appostate, screaming and ranting.....several of the "stage security" quickly rounded him up and escorted him out. Most amazing was the "brother" giving the talk never missed a beat.
