Yes OBVES, all the years you list up to 2008 have passed and all the ones after 2008 are yet to come. Well done. It's lucky you're not actually predicting anything for any of those dates or you'd inevitably be disappointed.
I began preaching the end some 34-35 years ago and I was in that mood of predicting the end for quite a good time. Whenever I stopped thinking about the end I made horrible errors in my life .See my posts on usenet how many posts I have made with calculations that concern a lot the end of the world predictions.It is right now my favorite activity
So OBVES says that those who don't think constantly about eschatology will make horrible errors, at least that's what I think he said. How is it then OBVES that the WTS, an organization that constantly boasts of it's ability to spot prophesies both fulfilled and future, finds itself in the midst of a pedophilia scandal, UN/NGO scandal, etc. By your reasoning, there Org. should be perfect, at least I think that's what you mean.
I am now going to make a monumentous prediction!
SOMETHING will definitely happen in the future. It will affect Human Beings. Some will like it, and some won't. It may or may not involve Elves, Sea Horses, and Sasquatch.

I'm with Oompa- maybe the end came sometime during the middle ages and we just havent caught on yet. Or maybe it came in 70 when the entire Jewish system of things was rocked.....Or maybe "the end" is an unhealthy obsession...
I figure all the new WBTS recruits will be very recent converts, and computer illiterate. The numbers waking up to the delusion are growing exponentially.
Here's why I believe this: at the last assembly I attended, the speaker asked how many in the audience had become witnesses in the last 15 years and virtually 90% of the hands in the audience went up - that was another EYE OPENER for me. I doubt his little question exercise question had the desired effect, i.e. I think he was trying to prove that there were still lots of honest-hearted sheep in the field to be recruited; but the lightbulb that went off in my head was that, for the most part, the old-timers are LEAVING THE FOLD IN DROVES.
I sure hope so. The internet is having an effect. Information is FLOWING about the past flip-flops, failed prophecies, corporate and legal maneouvering by the Society, etc., etc. Thousands and thousands of pages of information and now lawsuits also...
If the end does not come in 10 years, I predict the END WILL COME FOR THE WBTBS.

The teachers made mistakes. They "misinterpreted" the scriptures and believed their interpretations were right.
And WE BELIEVED THEM.

"Wasting life" is just rhetorical nonsense. You can't waste life. Whatever it is - that's what it is.
People go to college and then never get a job that fits their training. Was college wasted?
You're married 25 years and your mate abandons you. Were those years wasted?
Do you want to talk about wasted life? Young men dying on the battlefield. Children dying of starvation. Families struggling to get enough water for the day.
Get over it.
It is common knowledge that obsession with religous matters of all kinds, including apocalyptic predictions, can be an indicator of mental illness. If ones ability to function is hindered when they DON"T obsess then they might want to consider the state of their mental health.
You could die in 2 years or 5 years, so why worry about 10 years. Enjoy life, while you can.
If you know my posts I have better reasons to believe the end of the world will come in 2011 AD .
Suppose you left all your possessions behind you if the end doesn't come you will still live and have hands to work and start all over again.
Mexicans - may be you saw them crossing the borders with almost empty hands -come illegally and all of a sudden they are on their feet and have big money and build big houses and have big cars etc. If you are legal you can do it much better for sure , if you only want .
The real question is what if the end comes ?

4010 BC - 3010 BC - 2010 BC - 1010 BC - 10 BC - 991 AD - 1991 AD = 6000 years
60 years 4027 BC- 4010 BC =17 years 10 BC - 11 AD = 20 years 2011 AD - 2034 AD = 23 years
17+20+23 = 60 years
We are taking only : 11 AD - 2011 AD as 2000-year period.
One day has 24 hours and in the Biblical days a day began with the morning.
6 AM + 24 hours as 6000 years for simplicity .
6 AM - 2 PM = 2000 years = 2 days 2 PM -10 PM = 2000 years
10 PM-6 AM the last two days as 2000 years : 11 AD-2011 AD.
If I go to bed at 10 PM I know that in a moment I am going to fall asleep and there is no time elapse in sleep.
So in sleeping hours I can say soon 6 AM will come .Even before going to bed I can say the day is almost finished and the remaining 2000 years as 8 hours are as " soon ".
Consider the last days of the week of 6 days : Thursday and Friday as 2000 years = 2 last days = 11 AD-2011 AD
The period is the last part of the week and we can say the week will end soon !
