There have been 17 or so Democratic debates (not that they get much chance to really talk issues or be specific in those debate formats, but the last few certainly have had real policy discussions, especially the last one with only Obama and Clinton participating), and his web-site is full of policy positions he proposes on just about every subject.

Oh, well, there you go! Provide someone with answers to their rhetorical questions! I listened to the debate on the radio, and was amazed at how much information on policy ideas that both candidates were able to present. It was nothing at all like the debates of the past few elections.

I think this whole "there's no substance" arguments I've been hearing are from people who are listening to the pundits and news talking heads (and we know how accurate they've been the past month!) instead of doing the research themselves.

Anyway, I'm glad I lived long enough to see this kind of campaign!

Captain S, I watched most of all the debates, and I found the same thing. Actually, it's one reason I've had so much trouble figuring out my vote. Not because I couldn't find enough to like about anyone, but because I found TOO MUCH to like about ALL of them.

Not to be a jerk here, and true I am biased. But I also watched the Republican debates. They struck me as a bunch of used car salesmen or really unfunny stand up comedians.

Did George Washington have experience as a career politician?

Did he have any experience with cable TV or computers. ;)

Quote: I want to see him debate ISSUES and be SPECIFIC.

I also watched the Hillary/Obama debate and thought he was very specific. Don't be sucked in by the media. They are the ones saying he is weak in debate. I have not observed that in any of the debates. They don't give them much time to make their point.

Romney is out now, and conservative radio today was saying Obama is the front runner. They also said that if you are a Republican and think Obama can't beat McCain, you are delusional. I was in the car and laughed out loud by myself to that one. I totally agree.

Ann Coulter is supposed to be on Larry King tonight, and I am anxious to hear what she says now. She hates McCain and said she would campaign for Hillary or Obama if he is the nominee. It makes for entertaining news programs.

Just be careful you aren't sucked into their "spin".

If anyone here is as old as I am and remembers the 1960 Presedential campaign between Nixon and JFK.......Nixon's major cliche was "EXPERIENCE COUNTS". JFK was the newbie and he still won. So please don't sell Obama short.

Nixon finally won in the 1970's and look what his EXPERIENCE accomplished.

I have been mainly conservative since leaving the JW's but I can't find it in me to support any Republican these days. I will take Obama over Hillary any day.

I went to my first ever caucus (in Colorado). Our precinct was overwhemingly for Obama. My husband and I also. I never liked Hill, she's an able politition, I like her views, just can't stand her. Just seems like samo samo business as usual. The more I see Obama, the more I like him, I think he has a chance. I liked McCain until he said going into Iraq was not a mistake.

Me too. I was in high school, and Dad made me watch the debates. They were excruciating. Nixon was terrible. By the way, Kennedy won by a very close vote. In no way was it the majority.

A glib speaker does not necessarily make the best candidate. But I think Obama is very compelling in his speeches. I have watched him since the Democratic convention 4 years ago. He is just awesome. I hope he wins, but I will support Hillary if she is the nominee.

Just think...................who would have thought it would be between a woman and a black man?

Mulan, that doesn't sway my thinking at all, but it is inspiring to consider the historical aspect of a woman or a black man.

I still believe with all my heart, that if Hillary were a man, many people would feel different. As Lisa just said, she likes her views, and thinks she is an able politician, but can't stand her. I think if she were a man, she would be winning hands down.

"I don't think Obama is seasoned enough to be effective as prez."

What exactly does "Seasoned Enough" Mean? Seasoned enough to fool the Masses I suspect. All Presidents have Advisors. I'm pretty good at determining honesty in a Person. In my opinion, that's most important.

As president he will have advisors and I believe he will take other views into consideration in whatever he does.

He not only has my vote; He has had and will continue to have my financial backing.
