    Momz The Watchtower says, you can't have any privleges if you or your partner are sterilized as in ancient Israel...catch 22 what can you do.

    My former brother in law got a vasectomy so they could remain childless and pioneer. After 18 years of marriage he left her. She is now past her fertile years and single.

    The whole situation is sad.

    The only sure way to prevent a surprise blessing for a sexually active couple is sterilization.

    Well now see, there's your problem right there.

    The real solution is, don't be sexually active!

    And if you are so spiritually weak that you must marry, well, better to follow the example of good ol' Nathan H. Knorr & have a platonic marriage! Think of all that time wasted copulatin' that could be better spent on important, useful things, like prayer, or reading the Insight books cover to cover!

    And if you absolutely must engage in "the due", better to wait until the wife is aged 55 or so, just to be sure. Surely no sacrifice is too great for Jehovah!

    You can have all the sex you want to in the new world!

    That is, if Jehovah permits it.

    But hey, even if he doesn't, he'll change your chemistry such that you no longer even desire it! It's a win-win!

    Can it also be because......people there with no children will tend to leave their money to the religion???

    All kidding aside - I have no kids and I intend to leave whatever money I have to relatives. If I had none, I would give it to the government - never to any religion!

    Maybe the WT knows who will and who won't follow this advice. The dubs of Latin heritage will continue to "be fruitful and multiply" while others might take this advice to heart. So they will have a mix of born-ins and D.I.N.K.S. or S.I.N.K.S.

    Leaving them childless does indeed free up more income and more time, both of which will be thoughtfully guided to the donation box and the field circus...

    Childless couples can pioneer and be elders, which all of them in my hall end up doing.

    My son and wife decided not to have a family until after ""A" and it was only a fluke that they now have a child!

    The 1st c.o i remember as a child he and his wife just loved children always made a fuss of us got us to draw pictures ect

    Before he died a few years ago he said"if we knew the system was going to last this long we would have had children"

    Sad they would have been wounderful parents.

    I knew several couples in our old hall who would have made great parents. While I was doing it alone they took an interest in my kids. They gave my kids great memories, which helps ease my guilt over trying to raise them as JW's.
