This is the statue of James Fenimore Cooper that was in the park behind our house.
At one time I saw a picture of the house on the net, but I can't find it now. Big Victorian place with a ghost, which is why it was on the net.

Undecided. I missed your link last night. Wow, what a wonderful page full of picture links to Leaksville. It's like taking a time machine back into the 20th century small town. I especially enjoyed the classroom picture from 1965. That was my first year of school.
Thank you, Barbie. San Diego is a lovely city. I recall liking Silver Strand Beach and the drive down there. I also really enjoyed the drive up along the coast north of the city.
JeffT, I love those old statues. I love to study every detail of them. I found one like that in Holland, Michigan last year. If you find a picture of that house, I love victorians, please come and post it. A guy used to have a nice page up about Morgan City with good pictures of landmarks. It's down now and hard to find good pictures of MC and the surrounding areas.
