This is a dilemma. I was in the same situation. At least, until the divorce was finalized.
I was out, but not DA. She was in, but not in with any groups. I brought up one time that I wanted to have friends to socialize.
The problem is that no one at the hall wanted to associate with me. And, she did not want to associate with anyone outside the org.
So we just stayed home and fought. AH, the memories.
Keeping secrets is not a path to a strong marriage.
Myself, I would say I was going out and not mention the religious affiliation. If she asked, I would tell her the truth. It's part of integrity.

Got me laughing NY! Yeah I am hoping that D word will come up less and less if I play this right. Very, Very rarely, and I mean just a handful of times have we ever fought at all...worst was when she turned me in to elders for being here. We have had plenty of healthy discussions about da troof, but then they started ending with her crying, so I just don't do that anymore...............oompa
