JH, are you a guy or a gal? What kind of exercise do you do?
Guy, and in the winter time, I do no sports, no physical activity. In the summer I walk 10 km a day and ride on bike another 10 km. Then I get down to my desired weight.
This summer I'll play tennis too
I didnt start this thread because I have a weight problem, but because I notice that I'M inching upwards a little further each year, and I want to put an end to that, especially in the winter.
If you don't eat enough Sademo, you will slow down your metabolism, so you won't lose. Your body starts to hang ono every little bit it can. You should eat at least 1500 cals, if your a man usually 2000. Then its excercise. Excercise and muscle. Muscle metabolises fat, so do carbohydrates when you excercise and only eat carbs before 12pm and never eat after 7pm.
I have lost 140 pounds in a year and a half. 1400 calories a day, plus trade-offs. If I exercise 100 calories more (about a half hour of walking) I eat 100 calories more. You should never go below about 1200 calories a day, and that is for small women. If you eat less than that your body thinks you are starving and hangs on to every calorie. Eat at least 1200 calories a day and if you exercise more, eat more.
I noticed my fairly trim 150 lbs went up to 158 when my partner started bringing his home work with him (he's a pstry chef). So, I cut down from about 1,800 calories to 1,400, and I think I'm seeing some results (afraid to step onto the scale for now). At least my belt isn't making my eyes bulge any more...
I am trying to lose weight too, for some vacations this year. But the depo-provera shot is still in my system, making it hard to lose.
I am on 1200 cal a day, if you don't count alcohol.

According to the gubment I am morbidly obese. I am 5'8" 225 lbs. But mine is all muscle. I still have a 34 inch waist. In order for me to keep the current weight I have (which I love by the way) I need 2885 calories a day.
I loss 40lb by eating less and watching my fat, Carohydrate, and suger.
