I hate how the WatchPower study article will have something along the lines "it's a conscience matter" when it comes to choice of recreation, pursuits etc and that others are not to judge you for your choice. But at the end of the study, the article then goes on about "not stumbling your brother" when making our decision.

WTF, firstly they say it's YOUR choice, and at the end, but only as long as IT FOLLOWS the WatchPower lines of thinking.

It's MY decision! Only I'M answerable for my choice. Not someone else!

    *** re chap. 6 p. 32 Unlocking a Sacred Secret ***

Jesus was baptized and anointed as King-Designate at the Jordan River about October 29 C.E. Three and a half years later, in 33 C.E., he came to Jerusalem’s temple and threw out those who were making it a cave of robbers. There appears to be a parallel to this in the three-and-a-half-year period from Jesus’ enthronement in the heavens in October 1914 until his coming to inspect professed Christians as judgment began with the house of God. (Matthew 21:12, 13; 1 Peter 4:17) Early in 1918 the Kingdom activity of Jehovah’s people met with great opposition. It was a time of testing earth wide, and fearful ones were sifted out. In May 1918 Christendom’s clergy instigated the imprisonment of officials of the Watch Tower Society, but nine months later these were released. Later, the false charges against them were dropped. From 1919 the organization of God’s people, tried and refined, moved zealously forward to proclaim Jehovah’s Kingdom by Christ Jesus as the hope for mankind.—Malachi 3:1-3.

As Jesus began his inspection in 1918, the clergy of Christendom no doubt received an adverse judgment. Not only had they raised up persecution against God’s people but they had also incurred heavy bloodguilt by supporting the contending nations during the first world war. (Revelation 18:21, 24) Those clergymen then placed their hope in the man-made League of Nations. Along with the entire world empire of false religion, Christendom had fallen completely from God’s favor by 1919. -Bold Added

MS MCDUCKET- I remember the leaven saying . And the one " they were not of our sort ".Good ones, the others too.

SATANUS- Satan and the demons certainly does elicit a reaction from witnesses, doesn't it ?

CRAZYBLONDDEB- The term " Wait on Jehovah " used to drive me crazy !

PIONEER SPIT- That is funny ! Jehovah willing, careful it could be a trap of Satan. No wonder we were so confused as witnesses !

LAYLA 33- Good ones. Don't you want to live forever ? Talk about inducing guilt in us ! Wow !

STANN- I agree logic and reasoning classes are good to help a person reason things out after being a witness . We probably could start an ex-JW training school to help newly escaped ex-JW's !

SSRRIOTSQUAD- The WTS is great at the circular reasoning junk ! Telling you to use your conscience - then condemning you for using it ! Typical JW reasoning . You are right - we are anwerable only to ourselves !

QUANDRY- Good job ! Exactly !" There appears to be "." No Doubt " . " It was a time of testing " . All of these loaded expressions designed to get us to give up our freedoms ! Peace out, Mr. Flipper

    I get it.

It would be a public service to tear down every "Kingdom Hall" sign and replace them with "First Congregational Church of Weasel Words".

"The truth" or the all time classic "we only want you to return to Jehovah, you do know it's the truth don't you?".

Jehovah will put things right in his own time.

You need to be in the centre of the flock of god.

Or similar, "Satan picks off those on the fringes".

That brother is very young in the truth, or, he is not very mature in the truth.

I know that you have problems brother but "Jehovah will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear".

When you are in a fix, remember Proverbs 3 verse 5 and 6 (Sorry. This one is not so much controlling as it is so f*#king annoying)

If you’re not going forward in the truth then you are going backwards. You can’t stand still.

You can’t sit on the fence because the fence belongs to Satan.

Right hearted ones will have the 3 H’s Honest, Hungry, and Humble.

Don’t be tempted by Satan’s "closing down sale".

The So&so group have the "privilege" of the hall cleaning this week.

Nothing Jehovah asks of you will harm you.

    Have you tried praying more.

Some leave, but you never forget it’s the truth.

You can almost reach out and touch the new system can’t you brothers.

I could think of so many more. But the anger is building up now. I am remembering the people that said these things and how cheesy it all was. Yukk……

Marry only in the lord. (Even tho most bible characters didn't)

Waiting on new light from Jehovah...he reveals things slowly...like a dimmer switch. (More like he turns the light off & on like a big kid!!)

In the bloom of youth. (like its a damn disease)

Witnesses in 'Good standing'...Yeah this statement really pi$$ed me off.

I remember that 11/1/1989 Puketower. That one had one article that was against fornication, and the next one was against marrying outside the "Lord". I only wish there was a Comments You Will Not Hear section on those Puketower study articles--I am sure I would have had much better comments on that section than I ever did in the Kingdumb Hell. Marry in the Lord means not marrying at all, since they are capable of sabotaging any prospects in many ways.

As for stumbling others, I never did see what the big deal was. They insisted on not insisting on your rights, setting the stage for bans on so many items that there was no written policy against from the Watchtower Society. (Hence, you will not find any proof that such bans existed.) I cannot understand how the fxxx my listening to a bad song could stumble anyone, especially if the song is on a mini disc and the labels are coded. I was supposed to be the example?

Well, here's the example I set. Think for yourself. Go onto every apostate Web site you can, on purpose. Join a "secret society" that the Watchtower Society is so against (at that, one that has the potential to ruin the Watchtower Society when and if they go mainstream). Get a Ouija board instead of going to the Reject Jesus festival. Get as many rap CDs (where every other word is a swear word) as I can get my paws on. Join one or more apostate Web sites. Don't set foot in a Kingdumb Hell. Order, and display, as many Christmas decorations as you can afford (and don't take them down until you feel like it, if at all). Go to college, find and work that full time job that makes $500,000 a year. Get a 2-door car (or a bicycle). Order Crisis of Conscience.

Which will stumble every single one of the witlesses.
