It's a sad state, over there, burglars protected, cults protected form being exposed. Shades of alice in wonderland.

A teenager is facing prosecution for using the word "cult" to describe the Church of Scientology. The unnamed 15-year-old was served the summons by City of London police when he took part in a peaceful demonstration opposite the London headquarters of the controversial religion. Officers confiscated a placard with the word "cult" on it from the youth, who is under 18, and a case file has been sent to the Crown Prosecution Service.
Isn't it wonderful that England's crime rate is so low that they can spend people's hard earned tax dollars to prosecute a 15 year old boy for calling a cult a "cult"? It warms the coggles of my bitter little heart to know that there are apparently no drug dealers, pedophiles, rapists, terrorists, burglars, murderers or any other kinds of criminals across The Pond which must free up alot of law enforcement's time to the point where they can focus in on really bad crimes like this.
I'll assume this young boy must be looking at 25 to Life or possibly even face the Hangman's Noose for his horrible crime. Or perhaps they'll just ship his criminal ass off to Australia as in times past to keep the crime rate in England low. Yes, that's the only way to deal with crimes like this.......
Now I know why my grandparents left England and came to Canada in 1912.....

:( Didn't think it was like that here.
So maybe it's not the Masons in the police force we should be worried about... -

Pretty sad.
They need to press the issue, and get some "expert" to officially
determine if Scientology fits the definition of a cult, and then
it would be settled.
Just like saying the Catholic Church was responsible for the Inquisition
is simply a statement of historical fact, Scientology's cult status
should be established. -

RIPA was brought in under the guise of being anti terrorist anti peodophile etc,
in this great war on terror and mass destruction means means if you're suspected of having your dog foul the streets or you dont use your recycle bins properly or any other silly infringement, like.......being suspected of registering a child in a school out of the catchment area
the full force of terrorism laws can be unleased so your emails can be read, your family put under surveilance in a counter terrorism manner.

Unbelievably rediculous! I thought England was better than that. Guess I was wrong.

This Scientology is a hot button issue for me - I have a friend who is desparately trying to get his mind free of the Scientology.
He has come to reject the current COS, but still kind of has vestigial beliefs around the L. Ron Hubbard pseudo-religious philosophy. Just as with some ex-JW, it may take years to get all of the false teachings out of his system for good.
This so-called religion is a dangerous cult. Or, I guess maybe you can say "sect" in the UK without getting the attention of John Law?
Ironic, isn't it, that the German government is absolutely opposed to this group - they have seen through the way that they isolate people from their families and exploit them financially to the point of ruin.
I think I am going to dredge up a thread by Seven006 from about a month ago on JW - Mormonism - Scientology. I wish that JWD folks would stay very aware of this horrible cult, and be ready to help escapees if you have a chance. They are, of course - much like the Witnesses in that they are SO BRAINWASHED that seldom will you see a CST member trying to break free at all.
