The Greek word malakoi is generally understood as applying to the younger partners in Greek "homosexual" relationships. But the NWoverTranslation introduces entirely foreign notions into it (such as "kept," "unnatural"). Etymologically the word simply means "soft," "sweet" or "delicate".

The scripture says first, "men who lie down with men," then "men kept for unnatural purposes." They're referring to homosexual pairings. There was no specific term for homosexuality or homosexuals at the time, so they are delineating the 'dominant' and 'submissive' roles as their society would have understood it in that time. (no doubt, the moneyholder and the one financially 'kept,' as was customarily the place of the purchased woman)
