Why do JWs mostly go door to door in the mornings?

  So they can pack Starbucks when they are busiest, costing the poor servers their tips (leaving nothing but wastes of paper for tips), and leave a $500 mess and a $500 headache. After all, they are "worldly, evil people that deserve to die" in their eyes. If they did their work in the evenings, they might not be able to shut out the busy times for those poor waitresses that need those tips.

  Additionally, mornings are when they traditionally start waking people up. They work the calls in the afternoon, which is stupid (a call that was home in the morning is less likely to be home in the afternoon). Every facet has a time slot dedicated to it--street work real early, door to door in mid-morning, return visits and studies in the afternoon and evening, phone and letters in the late evenings.

  And, unfortunately for the poor waitress at Starbucks, that tip money is for the Worldwide Pedophile Defense Fund.

  In my old Congo, we had "Evening Witnessing", I recall knocking on doors as late as 10 pm

  Whose bright idea was that??? If someone knocks on my door at 10pm, the last thing I'd do is open the door!! Did you do that in Jersey? If so, wouldn't that land you a high probability of getting your ass shot??

  No, actually this was in the South Bronx, where people don't sleep anyway. I do remember once in Jersey City, NJ knocking on a door one evening with my wife, and the brother taking the lead forgot to tell us not to knock on a particular door. Turns out this guy had been a problem for the WItnesses, particularly in this building as he held classes in the basement with residents on how to witness to JW's. he used all sorts of "apostate" books. We stood at his door for about 2 hours, we answered all his questions, weren't afraid to look at his books, most of which I had in my personal library anyways. For 20 years he had been a thorn in the side of the Witnesses in the neighborhood, they were afraid of him and just ignored him at all cost. And because he had never met witnesses like ourselves, he accepted our invitation to attend a special talk at the hall, and everyone was shocked, when they asked him whay he was here, he simply told them "Rolando invited me." And when they asked me how I did it, I simply told them, "I just listened." RR
