WT WIZARD- I feel afraid of the WT " horders "as you call them also physically taking my witness family somewhere with the rest of the group of them and doing a Jim Jones sort of thing with them. If they can intimidate people like you or me AFTER leaving the cult- just think how they instill fear into CURRENT rank and file witness members.

CASPER- You definitely have been through a lot in your life, so I completely understand your fears sis ! I agree with you on the elder thing though- I've been out for 5 years - it's like what are they going to do now to me that they already haven't tried in the past ?

JAGUAR BASS- It sounds like you have done a lot of proactive things to help yourself deal with the fear you have. And that's a good thing. I agree : Fear and love do control us a lot.

FARKEL- I understand ; I'm afraid at times too ! LOL!

RESTRANGLED- You really sound like you are psychic to me ! You are not nuts ! You just have a special gift. I really feel for you that these things happened and you saw them beforehand. I think it's good for you to caution people where you are able to see things coming beforehand. To use your powers for good causes , and to help and assist others to protect themselves is a loving thing to do. More power to you sis ! Keep it up !

VOIDEATER- A lot of us feel like you. Have a fear of death. And what happened to us in childhood can bring that on most definitely. That's good that you can lessen the fear by pretending God exists. Whatever works for you my friend.

OOMPA- I understand the fear of failure. I too have had that fear as well. Fear of displeasing loved ones can - like you say - prevent us from existing sometimes ! Well put.

LOUBELLE- I agree that people have fear of the unknown. Once you experience it - as you stated it becomes less of a fear. I feel less and less fear every year I've been away from the JW cult.

SHOPAHOLIC- I hear what you say about JW family. They can only do us so much damage . They won't kill us - just cry and plead with us. It is a fear to overcome though having to explain ourselves to them. I understand THAT fear for sure. But like you, that fear is going away for me as time goes by.

NVR- I agree. We've always had the knowledge to overcome fear within us. We just have to get over our fears and not be afraid to succeed. Good article - thanks.

HILLBILLY- I agree with you. I too don't want to look back and have a fear of NOT trying . Failure at attempting something is only a " temporary " setback . We can't buy into it. Gotta keep trying and not give up. We have to overcome the fear of failure to succeed .

CARMEL- I'm sure some people have had good non-fearful experiences with religion - I'm just not one of THOSE people . Every dealing I've had with religion - I've seen them use fear to control their members !
