CoCo, Ooops! My bad They taste great but get that appearance from the tomato juice mixing with the ranch dressing. It looks great before you start to move the food around. It tastes really good! Just look at what's in it. |

I don't regret it a bit
Amicus:No regrets - never! Certainly not regarding food and drink ... thanks!
Just look at what's in it.
White Dove:
I was just yankin' your chain. I hadda get in that comment about 'bringing it up,' however.

These days eating healthy requires me to be uber prepared and to actually have food in my fridge. Every day during the week I'll have cooked oats - plain with a dash of salt. Sometimes a fruit of some sort - more along the lines of berries.
I take a little yoghurt for a snack. Lunch consists of cooked durhum wheat pasta, a bit of chicken/fish, with some mixed veggies (fresh - can't eat frozen)
Dinner - I'll make a big salad but throw all sorts of things into it. Olives, spring onions, nuts, cherry tomatoes, avo, normal onions, julian carrotts, green/red pepper. Blue cheese or a little chicken and taddaa.
I love cooking and trying out new recipes. There are days when I cook for the whole fam damily.

I also have a fam damily! It sounds as though you're an excellent cook.
A Fappy Hamily ...

I enjoy cooking for myself at times, kind of theraputic and relaxing. But then there are other days when i'll just go down the chippy. Steak and kidney pie and chips special with curry sauce, only 2 pound 30p!

I find it so too. That's why I don't like rushing. When I'm busy and can't help rushing is when I nuke what I've prepared ahead of time when I WASN"T RUSHED.
What's a chippy? A fish and chips eatery?
Thanks,

Finally-Free - you're skills in the kitchen sound delicious - nothing better than home made bread - the smell is so comforting and definately gets the taste buds going. Add penut butter and jam and I'll be transported back to being a lil girl muching on one of grandpas' sandwiches.
Co-co - Come christmas time we have a host of family and guests - I'm in the kitchen the night before and pretty much the whole of christmas morning cooking roasts (lamb with garlic and rosemary / pork with cloves and port and chicken with garlic and orange) Then it's roast potatoes, and grilled veggies, veggies in cheese sauce, rice, maccaroni and don't forget the big pot of curry. Yup it's a feast and a half and I love it. Plus after I've done the cooking I love to present the food in a yummerlicious way.

Lou Belle:
Presentation is everything.
I'm reminded of when we went to buffets and my mom would heap the plate willy-nilly with every sort of food combination. I, on the other hand, allowed only three items on my plate at a time (nothing could touch - separate little mounds).
I wonder if I was adopted ...

I think that is the real trick to the palate. Presentation.
We deserve to make it look as if we were serving a special guest
