Here is a song that Warren Zevon wrote for his wife while he was dying of cancer: Keep Me In Your Heart For Awhile.
I had not bought Zevon's last album before he died so I had not heard this song before he died. I was listening to an underground station when they announced his death and they played that song. I'm not a sentimental person but being a Zevon fan, having kept up with his battle and then the beauty and genius of this song, it got to me and I shed some tears for him during that song as it played on the radio. Everytime I hear that song now, I get choked up a little...
