I haven't been updated today yet, but yesterday my nephew told me that the helicopter ride alone will cost $20,000. It's sad because Neal is an interesting, eccentric individual, very generous and neat. And he has tried so hard to be the uniform JW, but it's never really worked for him. He has figured out so many things on his own, but under threat from my sister, he has kept his mouth shut and went along with the status quo of dubdom. They have made my sister and Neal so miserable. When you hear a Creedence Clearwater Revival song, think of Neal, or Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young. When I was a teen, I love Neil Young. Neal bought me the Harvest LP and signed the LP cover, With love from Neil, spelled like Neil young rather than his own spelling of Neal.
By the way, if any of you are Fried Green Tomatoes fans, Neal is Patsy Neal, better known as Fannie Flagg's first cousin. His mother was Fannie's father's sister. His mother is the person that Idgy Threadgood was based on. Neal and Fannie grew up running the streets of Birmingham, AL together. And Neal's very beautiful, southern belle mother wrote stories of her adventures growing up along the river. These stories were the inspiration for Idgy Threadgood and some of Fried Green Tomatoes.
