    So sorry, Flying.

My mother died a couple of months ago and I was so shocked to find out how much a funeral can cost. Even a moderate one. By the time we bought the casket, sign-in book, flowers, etc., it was over $7,000. No wonder some opt for cremation.

At any rate, your sister is not "old." It is too bad she has no desire to fight to live. All her life has been sucked out by the WTBTS.

What a disaster your sister is in for. I am very sorry. I hope you can
provide some sisterly love, especially in the future when she lives past
the time that shouldn't be "in this system of things" like so many before
    her have done.

Sorry to hear of this, like Momz said, hopefully he will pull through and they both live long enough for social security.

I am sorry for what is happening-your BIL has a list of problems that seem dire in combination, and are bad enough singly for a man of his age with any one of them.

I am more sorry for your sister-to have lost the will to live is sadder than to have a physical illness that does you in. She isn't old anywhere but in her head. She could count on another 25+ years of a good life. Diabetes is difficult, but controllable if it is something that matters at all to you.

You are right, you know. The WTBTS SUCKS. They suck big.

I haven't been updated today yet, but yesterday my nephew told me that the helicopter ride alone will cost $20,000. It's sad because Neal is an interesting, eccentric individual, very generous and neat. And he has tried so hard to be the uniform JW, but it's never really worked for him. He has figured out so many things on his own, but under threat from my sister, he has kept his mouth shut and went along with the status quo of dubdom. They have made my sister and Neal so miserable. When you hear a Creedence Clearwater Revival song, think of Neal, or Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young. When I was a teen, I love Neil Young. Neal bought me the Harvest LP and signed the LP cover, With love from Neil, spelled like Neil young rather than his own spelling of Neal.

By the way, if any of you are Fried Green Tomatoes fans, Neal is Patsy Neal, better known as Fannie Flagg's first cousin. His mother was Fannie's father's sister. His mother is the person that Idgy Threadgood was based on. Neal and Fannie grew up running the streets of Birmingham, AL together. And Neal's very beautiful, southern belle mother wrote stories of her adventures growing up along the river. These stories were the inspiration for Idgy Threadgood and some of Fried Green Tomatoes.

Love that movie, love tales of the south...loved reading them while growing up thousands of miles away. Thanks for sharing that bit of trivia.

I'm sorry for Neal and wish him and your sister comfort during this difficult time.
